1. Who is behind this website

Made by PROTO is an independent European startup project and creative concept lab operated by Christer Berggren. PROTO+ is an initiative within the same project. The project names do not themselves create a separate legal person. The contact for this website, these terms and complaints is hello@madebyproto.eu.

These terms concern madebyproto.eu, its PROTO+ pages and the private participant web app. A separately released app, paid service, licence or commissioned project requires its own clearly identified provider and applicable terms. A portfolio listing alone does not make those services available through this website.

2. What is currently offered

This website presents independent writing, experiments, visualisations and prototypes. Some features are working demonstrations; others are ideas in development. Labels such as concept, pilot, prototype and planned describe their stage. They are not promises of a finished product, an app-store release, technical suitability, funding or commercial success.

No payment or paid subscription is taken through the current website. The first PROTO+ workshop is described as a free pilot. An expression of interest is not a confirmed workshop place, a purchase, an agency appointment or an agreement to transfer your intellectual property. Any future paid offer must explain the price, provider, cancellation rights and other applicable conditions before you commit.

3. Responsible use

Use the website and participant tools lawfully and with respect for others. Do not submit unlawful material, malware, spam, misleading identities or personal information you have no right to disclose. Do not attempt to bypass account approvals, access another participant’s records, misuse meeting links or interfere with the website’s security or availability. This does not prevent lawful reporting, research, quotation or other statutory rights.

Describe suspected vulnerabilities privately to hello@madebyproto.eu. Do not exploit them or access other people’s information. We may take proportionate action against misuse, including restricting an account. Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason and provide a contact for review; urgent security action may need to come first.

4. PROTO+ access and workshops

PROTO+ is intended for adults, with the present learning programme aimed at people aged 60 and over. An interest form does not create membership. Private app access requires a personally approved email address and sign-in with the corresponding ChatGPT account. Installing the web app or receiving a forwarded link does not give anyone permission to enter.

For Workshop 001, registering interest, receiving an offer and accepting a place are separate steps. Only the participation status shown in your protected registration determines access to that workshop’s materials and meeting details. Follow the dates and information shown for your particular activity. The free pilot can be rescheduled or cancelled; affected confirmed participants will be informed using the available contact details. You can cancel through your registration view or contact us.

Protect your account and keep private meeting links and participant material within their intended audience. Do not record, transcribe, publish another person’s contribution or invite an automated meeting assistant without the organiser’s permission and the necessary participant information and consent. A workshop does not grant a professional qualification or guarantee a finished or profitable app.

5. Website material and intellectual property

Original writing, design, code, logos and other material may be protected by copyright, trademark or other rights. Protection is claimed only to the extent those rights exist. Some images are AI-generated, some references belong to third parties, and some components may carry their own open-source or other licences. We do not claim exclusive rights in every idea, AI output or third-party asset.

You may share links and use material within applicable legal exceptions, including lawful quotation. Please identify the author and source where required. Reproducing substantial material, selling or relicensing it, or using PROTO branding to imply endorsement requires permission unless an applicable licence or the law already permits it. Rights belonging to another person cannot be licensed by us.

6. Your ideas, feedback and submissions

You keep the rights you have in your own ideas, notes and contributions. Submitting a form, attending a workshop or saving a private note does not transfer ownership to PROTO and does not grant a licence to publish or commercialise your work. We handle submissions only as needed for the purpose explained in the Privacy Policy. Public use of an identifiable testimonial or participant project requires a separate arrangement.

A contact form or introductory email is not a non-disclosure agreement. Do not send trade secrets, account credentials, health records, sensitive financial documents or confidential third-party material. Agree confidentiality and any commercial collaboration in writing before disclosing information that requires that protection. General ideas may arise independently; any ownership, exclusivity, payment or agency arrangement must be separately agreed.

7. Experiments, AI and external services

Prototypes and AI-assisted content can contain mistakes, omit relevant information or change. Do not treat a demonstration as a production-ready system or a substitute for qualified advice or independent checks. The Disclaimer explains particular limits, including those relevant to TRUSTCHECK and FRISTEG.

External websites, video players, meeting tools, sign-in services and separately offered AI products have their own terms and privacy rules. A reference or link does not establish a partnership or our control over their content, availability or charges. You decide whether to use those services. Our own legal responsibilities remain unaffected.

8. Availability, changes and your records

We take reasonable care in maintaining the site, but this free experimental service is not a guaranteed archive, backup service or uninterrupted production environment. Keep a separate copy of work you need. You can request a copy of your personal data and exercise the rights explained in the Privacy Policy.

We may correct, update or discontinue an experiment for genuine development, operational, legal or security reasons. For a material change affecting an existing participant arrangement, we will give reasonable notice and, where practical, an opportunity to retrieve relevant work. These terms do not retrospectively remove an agreed entitlement or permit us to ignore mandatory obligations.

9. Responsibility and limits

Decisions about relying on general information, trying an experiment or using an external service require your own assessment. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we do not accept responsibility for indirect business losses, lost opportunities or losses caused solely by an independent third party that we could not reasonably control. No promise of a particular technical, creative, financial or regulatory outcome is made.

Nothing in these terms or the Disclaimer excludes or limits liability for fraud, intentional wrongdoing, gross negligence, death or personal injury where such liability cannot lawfully be limited, or any other liability that the law does not allow us to exclude. Your mandatory consumer rights, data protection rights and any remedies that cannot be waived remain intact. No blanket indemnity, compulsory arbitration, zero-liability cap or waiver of access to a court is imposed on you.

10. Privacy and separate choices

The Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, why, how long it is needed and your choices. Reading these terms is not consent to marketing, optional tracking or use of your work for AI training. Optional newsletter consent is separate from workshop interest and participant access. A request to stop marketing does not cancel an unrelated activity you asked us to provide.

11. Questions, complaints and applicable rights

If something is wrong, contact hello@madebyproto.eu with the page or activity concerned and a brief explanation. We will assess the issue and explain the available response. You may use any competent authority, consumer body or court available under applicable law without first obtaining our permission.

Applicable law determines jurisdiction and your statutory protections. These terms do not select a foreign court to deprive a consumer of protections available in their country of habitual residence. If a provision cannot lawfully apply, it will not remove your rights or make a broader restriction enforceable.

12. Versions and further agreements

This version is dated 19 October 2026. Updates apply prospectively and will be identified by a new date; existing agreements and consents are not silently rewritten. Where a new or materially changed feature needs acceptance or consent, it must be presented at the relevant step. The English and Swedish policy texts are intended to provide the same information; mandatory law and any language interpretation rules protecting consumers prevail in case of a discrepancy.
